Chocolate Pecan Pie
1 crust, homemade or store bought
1 cup pecan halves
1 cup chocolate chips
1 ¼ cups maple syrup
1 tablespoon Southern Comfort
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/3 stick butter, melted
1 tablespoon flour
•Preheat oven to 350⁰F.
•Fill pie crust with pecans and chocolate chips and set aside.
•In a large bowl crack eggs and beat lightly. Then add maple syrup and Southern Comfort and whisk well. Add sugar and whisk. Add vanilla and melted butter and whisk some more. Lastly whisk in flour to the mixture.
•Pour mixture into the pie crust with pecans and chocolate chips.
•Bake for 1 hour and garnish with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
2 tablespoons Southern Comfort
Chocolate chips, to taste
1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
•Using a small sauce pan of boiling water, add a small bowl over the top and add Southern Comfort and chocolate chips. All mixture to melt.
•Once melted add in heavy whipping cream and stir to create sauce.
1 cup heavy whipping cream
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon brandy
•In a large bowl add cream, powdered sugar and brandy and whisk together until peaks form. Serve over pie.
•1 oz. Frangelico
•1 oz. Bailey’s
•1 oz. Brandy
•Coffee to taste
•In a coffee mug add Frangelico, Bailey’s and Brandy.
•Top with enough coffee to fill the cup and garnish with whipped cream.
